Spit-up

How could a baby so cute spit up so much??!! Bubby has serious spit-up issues. He spits up all the time, sometimes even his whole bottle and other times he won't spit up at all. His poor daycare ladies have to change his outfit all the time. His 2 month appointment was March 6th and at his appointment we talked to his doctor about him spitting up. She really didn't seem to concerned because he is growing and gaining weight, but she did say that we could try rice cereal in his bottle. Scott bought him some rice cereal and we tried a little in his bottle last night. I took some cereal in to his daycare today for them. The morning lady (i really should learn her name) was really excited and seemed optimistic that this would help him spit-up less. I think at this point they are ready to try anything. I anxious to find out how he did with his feedings today!

Grant's first play date

Monday March 9, 2009 Grant, Scott and I met Shawn and Bekkah at "the Playground" in Ankeny. Shawn takes Bekkah there on Monday nights to play indoors. It is such a cool place, they have indoor playground equipment and these huge blown up play things you can crawl through, bounce in and slide on. I had so much fun running around the place with Bekkah!

Kevin's 28th Birthday

We met Casey and Kevin at Iowa Beef in Des Moines for Kevin's Birthday Party. Kevin had his sister and her family there with our family for a big party. The food was awesome, we all had huge steaks. I'll have to have Case send me some of her pictures because I didn't even get any pictures of her and Kevin with my camera!! After dinner Me, Grant, Joe, Megan, Areigna, Mark, and Scott all went to Casey and Kevin's house to hangout. Joe downloaded Super Mario brothers onto their Wii. It was so much fun! Meanwhile I checked out Casey's babyroom updates! She has her babyroom all decked out! I need to get some pics of that for the blog too! We missed mom at the party, but she had to work.

Grant and Buzz's professional photo shoot

March 1, 2009 we had Christa with Houndstooth Photography take pictures of our 2 boys. Below are the pictures that she took! The photoshoot went fairly smoothly. Buzz was a little diva, he didn't want his picture taken on Christa's hardwood floor. Then Grant had a snack break and neither one of them wanted to have their picture taken together! Grant's first visit to Riverside

Feburary 12, Me, Mom, Casey and Kevin all went to visit Grandma Malmburg in Riverside. We met at Casey's house and rode together in Mom's car. This was Kevin's last trip with us because when Casey has her baby Kevin won't fit in the car, or maybe mom will buy a van to tote all of her grandkids around in. :) Grant was so good that day! He was smiling for grandma. I only took a couple of pictures, mom took more with her camera, maybe sometime she will send those to me. :) We had a really nice time visiting with Grandma, her neighbor Nisha came over to see the baby. Grandma made some delicious chili for us and took us to visit her horses and see all the progress Grandpa has made on the barn. Grant can't wait to visit again!

Grant getting ready for daycare this morning

Grant is so funny when he's trying to wake up in the morning, he stretches forever. Ususally we have to wake him up during the week to get him ready. This morning we got him up at 7:15am. I could hear Scott getting him ready and he had fallen back asleep on the changing table so I had Scott video the wake-up process. This is a typical morning for Grant.

Grant's first Valentine's Day

Friday night grandma Nancy came over to babysit and Scott and I went out to dinner at PF Changs. It was so delicious.

Then on Saturday we went to a Chops hockey game with Julie, Toren, Susan and Dave. Julie made a delicious dinner of chicken parmesan for everyone at her house. There were a ton of people at the hockey game getting married or renewing their vows for Valentine's Day. I included that picture.
