Beginning my blog

Thunderstoms again...What a dreary day, but a great day to start my blog. As of this week I am 11 weeks pregnant. Almost at the end of my dreaded first trimester. The first trimester hasen't been the funnest part of pregnancy. In fact for a first time pregnancy, this trimester has made me vow to never do this again! I can only hope that with my second trimester I will start to magically feel better. I am looking forward to days filled without nausea, and having more energy. Yes there are many benefits to being pregnant like knowing you are bringing a life into the world, but with those positive things comes not so fun things too. Like my face has all of a sudden reverted back to highschool! I have zits!! Not only do I feel sick everyday, too tired to get up, I don't want to face the world with my new face. On the positive side, I now have a womanly figure, ok translation, my breasts are huge, hopefully that will distract from my acne. Not all is bad considering people are so much nicer to you when they find out you are pregnant, and you can do things you normally wouldn't do. Take for instance yesterday, I stopped at the grocery store on the way to work. In the store I decided that a package of 12 soft sugar cookies with a delicious frosting and a Cosmo magazine sounded like a perfect way to start the day. I was in the line checking out when a co-worker spotted me. Making conversation she asked what I was getting as she looked down at my cosmo and cookies, looking at it from her point of view that does seem like a strange combination, but to me it seemed perfectly normal. She started laughing and pointed out that I would have to start buying children magazines. Hmm...I never thought about that. I guess at some point I will have to start buying parenting magazines, but are the stories as funny? They have stories of people caught butt naked in cosmo this month, now that sounds like entertaining reading to me! As for the sugar cookies, I never did eat one at work, I wasn't feeling well. But I did take them home to my husband who was happily surprised.
